Our doctors have performed thousands of laser and surgical procedures and are dedicated to meeting the vision, medical, laser and surgical needs of our patients.

24/7 Availability for Established Patients

Our doctors are available by phone to established patients 24 hours a day regarding urgent issues and can be reached at the numbers on our voice mail message.

For non-urgent issues you can leave a message which will be returned on the next business day.

For emergency issues call 911 or go to the ER where an ophthalmologist is always on call.

We sell quality glasses which provide a better value to you over the long run than cheaper glasses that you might find through a national outlet store. From designer names like Dana Buchman®, Vera Wang® and Izod for Men®, to more budget friendly options, we carry a wide variety of  frames to fit any budget.  Our professional staff will ensure that you love your eyewear and leave looking and seeing your best!

Regardless of your age or physical health, regular eye exams are important.

We perform a thorough eye exam including checking your eyes' pressures, movements, pupil reactions, and more; including a detailed retinal evaluation looking for "silent" eye problems like glaucoma or macular degeneration, and for signs of bodily illnesses like diabetes or hypertension.

We asses your vision quality and your prescription for glasses, contacts, or laser vision correction.

Pediatric Eye Exams

Eye exams for children are extremely important: Rare pediatric eye conditions can have life threatening implications and, if left untreated, some childhood vision problems can cause permanent and irreversible vision loss.

Children with no signs of vision problems and no family history of childhood vision problems should have comprehensive eye exams at 6 months and 3 years, and then every two years if no vision problems are found; more often if they are found or if glasses or contacts are needed.

Dr. Allf performs modern cataract surgery called phacoemulsification. Like laparoscopic surgery elsewhere, this requires only two tiny incisions (2.2 and 1.2 mm in width) that do not generally require stitches afterwards. No needles are needed around the eye which is numbed with only drops.

PREMIUM IMPLANTS are available that can markedly decrease ones dependence on glasses or contact lenses post-operatively  by addressing issues like astigmatism and presbyopia.

Our office contains some of the latest technologies for assessing and treating eye health such as the HRT (Heidelberg Retinal Tomograph) the VEP (Visual Evoked Potential) the Automated Perimeter (Visual Field Machine) the Ocular Ultrasound and the Fundus Camera for Fluoroscein Angiography. We have an in-house minor surgical room complete with an operating microscope allowing us to perform some procedures in the office while others, such as for glaucoma, eye misalignment (eyes that turn in or out called strabismus), and some corneal problems, are done in one of the hospital's outpatient surgery centers.

Our YAG and Argon lasers allow us to treat conditions like secondary cataracts, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy right in our office.

Laser Vision Correction (LASIK and PRK)

We switched from RK to Laser Vision Correction as soon as it became FDA approved nearly 20 years ago. We currently use the latest VISX STAR S4(TM) Excimer Laser System, which allows eye tracking and custom ablation, to treat nearsightedness, farsightedness and astigmatism generally leading to vision good enough to drive without glasses or contacts.

Our doctors use Botox® to treat the deep facial skin folds caused by underlying muscle contractions in the face, and also to treat medical conditions like blepharospasm and migraines.

Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery

Our doctors perform blepharoplasty and other cosmetic (and therapeutic) facial surgeries, often right in our office surgical suite.
